North West Training Day

On Sunday 24th February, the North West Region of the BFA will be running a three weapon training day.  I will be taking the foil element, Jon Willis will be taking the epee and James Williams will be taking the sabre.  This will take place at – Medlock Leisure Centre, Garden Fold Way, Droylsden, Tameside  M43 7XU and will cost £40. Places will be limited so book in time to avoid missing out

To reserve a place on this Training Day go to – www.nw-fencing.org.uk/index.php/hub-development/north-west-hub-training-day  This will be for senior fencers and focus on competitive practice, the structure of the day from 10am-4.30/5pm will, for the morning, consist of – a general warm up followed by tactical groups session and rotation onto strength and conditioning, this will last about 3 hours. Activities after dinner(1 hourish) will be loosely base it around sparring and there will be an opportunity for individual lessons. Also in the afternoon a psychologist will come in to work with small groups at a time teaching relaxation techniques and metal preparation for competitions.  This will be a great opportunity to work with top coaches and train with fencers from the region.
